SOUTH BEND, Ind. -- Those interested in becoming a school bus driver are invited to the second annual " Hop On and Hire" event on Saturday, hosted by The South Bend Community School Corporation Transportation Department.

The event will take place at the SBCSC Transportation & Vehicle Maintenance Facility from 8 a.m. to noon.

Interested person will complete an application, interview on-site, test drive a school bus, learn about pay, benefits, training, and incentives, and meet transportation staff.

Staff will also answer any questions you may have.

Organizers say light refreshments will also be provided.

The Transportation & Vehicle Maintenance Facility is located at 3003 N. Bendix Dr. in South Bend.
