South Bend still accepting offers for old College Football Hall of Fame

SOUTH BEND — The former College Football Hall of Fame building has been vacant for seven months, but area residents may know by the end of July what will occupy it.

The city of South Bend hopes to receive any and all offers within the next two weeks.

Officials are looking for strategic partners to take over the building.

The city says the price point for the space is important, but preference will be given to offers that feature job creation and support the local tax base.

Offers are due on July 31.
