South Bend woman sentenced to jail time for harboring illegal immigrants

SOUTH BEND — A 23-year-old South Bend woman will spend 15 months in prison for mail fraud and conspiring to harbor illegal immigrants in her home.
Karla Ruelas pleaded guilty to the felony charges of helping Hispanic people who were in violation of immigration laws.
She worked at a vehicle registration business for immigrants. Rulas helped the illegal immigrants get fake social security numbers.
