South Bend works with Rebuild Together to rehab homes

SOUTH BEND, Ind. -- The city of South Bend is looking to rebuild right alongside the organization Rebuild Together.
They plan to revamp 21 homes in the city near Northwest and Lincoln Park neighborhoods.
The home repairs include roof replacements, furnace, and electrical upgrades.
One lucky lady is getting to reap the benefits of the hard work that the group puts in.
"It's a blessing. It means a lot to me because the things that are going to be done, I wouldn't be able to do on my own. And I appreciate everything," said homeowner Helen DuPriest.
Rebuilding Together is hosting two events next month including skilled trades day April 5th and community volunteer day April 12th.
