South Shore Line announced on Thursday that it will be offering a "buy-one-get-one-free" promotion for January monthly tickets that will provide riders with a free February monthly ticket.

All monthly tickets purchased for January will remain valid throughout February with this promotion.

Passengers planning to purchase a January paper ticket should plan to keep that ticket through February, and mobile users will see a February ticket uploaded to their accounts prior to February 1.

Masks are still required by all passengers under a federal mandate through March 18.
