SOUTH BEND, Ind. -- The St. Joseph County Public Library's first-ever Winter Reading Challenge starts this week.
Between Monday, January 13 and Saturday, March 21 the library is challenging people over the age of 18 to read five books. There are no restrictions on what type of books eligible for the contest.
Reading has countless benefits for adults, including increased focus, more empathy, better sleep, and reduced stress.
Those entered who complete the challenge will be entered to win raffle entries. The grand prize is a "winter hibernation kit" with warm socks, a reading journal, Burts Bees gift set, and more.
