The St. Joseph River in Niles is at a near-flooding stage due to rain that has collected in the river. The water is at the edge of the river at about eight feet. If it reaches minor flooding, it will start to reach the land.
Rain is also expected in Benton Harbor and South Bend on Wednesday, although it is down from the total of an inch of rain from recent rainfalls.
