SOUTH BEND, Ind. -- St. Patrick's County Park is offering snowshoeing as a new recreational activity to coincide with their cross-country skiing this winter.
Snowshoes are five dollars and sizes run from a child size five to a men's size thirteen.
It's a family-friendly activity, featuring a moderate two-mile hike.
Mikaela Gohn, organizer of the snowshoeing activity, stated, "We have over 50 pairs of snowshoes, so you can bring out your entire family. Your friends all grab a pair of snowshoes and then go hiking on the trail together. The hike is pretty moderate. All in all, it's about two loops, so it's about two miles all the way around. It might be a little bit different than hiking. You have to get used to the snow shoes, but it's a really fun experience."
