Steven Clippinger gets life without parole

A St. Joseph County judge sentenced Steven Clippinger to two life without parole sentences to be run consecutively for the murders of Lisa and Matthew Clippinger in 2012.

In addition to the two life without parole sentences, he was also sentenced to 20 years for serious violent felon in possession of a firearm, which will run consecutively to the other sentences.

Judge Frese found the aggravating circumstances outweighed the mitigating circumstances presented in court.

Clippinger was convicted on October 1, 2014 in the deaths of his brother and sister-in-law in June 2012.

Jenifer Leveque was sentenced to 12 years in prison for assisting a criminal and transfer of a handgun to a felon in this case.
