Storms unleash 2 dozen tornadoes across South, Midwest

GEORGIA — Wicked weather unleashed as many as two dozen tornadoes on the south and Midwest on Wednesday.

In Georgia, at least one person was killed when a tornado with winds estimated over 125 mph demolished homes, office buildings and wiped out parts of a factory.

Another death was reported in Tennessee.

The storm will make its way up the East Coast on Thursday bringing damaging winds from the Carolinas to New England.
