Students sleep in cardboard boxes to raise awareness

ELKHART, Ind. -- Students at one local high school slept in cardboard boxes to raise awareness of homelessness.

Members of Jimtown High School's DECA club will spend 24 hours in the school's parking lot to collect supplies for the Faith Mission in Elkhart.

Monetary donations will benefit those who have served our country in time for Veteran's Day.

"DECA sends out pamphlets every year with ways you can help your community and things like that," said club president Kyndra Fowler. "This one really struck close to home and with Veteran's Day tomorrow, we just want to help out the veterans as much as we can."
