SOUTH BEND, Ind – Terrance Eppenger, suspect in a March 2018 shooting with SBPD is suing the police department and the City of South Bend for “excessive force.”
According to the lawsuit filed in St. Joseph County Eppenger is claiming lost wages, an extended hospital stay, and permanent disability.
The lawsuit for an unspecified amount states it is to cover current medical expenses, future medical expenses, along with pain and suffering.
Eppenger had many encounters with police being arrested sixteen times since 2010.
Eppenger’s arrest record includes criminal trespassing, theft, and parole violations.
ABC57’s requests for comment by Eppengers attorneys have gone unanswered.
