Suspect injured following vehicle break-ins at Brookside Manor

ABC 57 GOSHEN, Ind. -- On Saturday, Jan. 10 at approximately 4:43 p.m. Goshen Police were dispatched to Brookside Manor, 61108 Old C.R. 17, after receiving reports of a person entering unlocked vehicles and stealing items.
The suspect shot himself in the head and fled from officers when they arrived at the scene.
Officers conducted an area search and located the suspect.
The suspect was transported to a South Bend hospital due to his significant injuries.
The investigation is still ongoing.
