Take 10 educates kids about bullying

SOUTH BEND, Ind. -- The Take 10 Organization at Notre Dame wants people to know there are three ways to fight back against bullying.

They want you to remember "Talk it out, walk it out, or wait it out."

The campus group works with three local school districts to help kids find other ways to respond to bullying than fighting.

Thursday, 300 students gathered for a big seminar.

Organizers say the earlier you reach kids, the better they respond.

"If we get to the kids younger they learn it better. They are like little sponges. When you start with them in first, second, third grade they absorb it really quickly," said Ellen Kyes, Take 10 Program.

Notre Dame works in Mishawaka, South Bend, and Penn Harris Madison schools to help combat bullying.
