Tangled gray whale rescued off California coast

NEWPORT BEACH, Calif. -- A 20-foot gray whale got tangled in netting.

The whale had to be freed off of the California coast. This is the second time in six days that a gray whale was found in danger on the coast.

The first whale was able to swim away after rescuers cut it free.  Pacific Marine rescue teams say an older whale, possibly the mother whale, never left the younger tangled whale's side until it was freed.
