Teen shot in South Bend

SOUTH BEND, Ind. -- A 17-year-old South Bend teen was shot on Saturday night while hanging out with his friends at a park.

Police said the teen was shot in the thigh on Freemont Street, near North Olive Street. The teen's friends rushed him to Memorial Hospital where police were called.

They said a black male leaning out the passenger side of a 4-door gray car started shooting at them.

Police said the teen's injuries are not life threatening. Investigators said no arrests have been made in connection with this shooting.
