Teens injured in Elkhart County crashes

ELKHART COUNTY, Ind. — Saturday night two teens were injured in two separate car accidents in Elkhart County.

The first happened just after midnight.

Goshen police say a 17-year-old male crashed into a footbridge along a bike path in Millrace Park. He then took off.

Our partners at Michiana News Channel say officers found him shortly afterwards and that he had been drinking.

Police released him to the custody of his parents.

The second crash happened Saturday on Keltner Road.

Two teens are recovering after crashing into a tree.

Investigators say one of the boys suffered from a broken femur.

The other complained of pain to his abdomen.

There is no word on what caused that collision.
