ABC57 First Warning Neighborhood Weather
Friday, July 3rd, 2020
The heatwave holds steady into the holiday weekend across Michiana. Highs for the Fourth of July Saturday and on Sunday will be in the low 90s, with noticeable but tolerable humidity. Any fireworks displays should not face any weather obstacles. However, many areas across Michiana (especially south/east of South Bend) are very dry, so make sure to practice firework safety this weekend. Showers will stay away from Michiana this weekend and for the beginning of next week.
Monday will be the hottest day of the year, with highs in the middle to upper 90s by the afternoon. Our next chance of scattered showers is on Wednesday, with another round of showers and storms possible Thursday night and Friday. Many spots still need a lot of rain, and drought conditions could break out across Michiana by the middle of next week.
Tonight: Clear. Low 68.
Saturday (4th of July): Mostly sunny and hot. High 92.
Sunday: Mostly sunny and hot. High 93.
Monday: Mostly sunny and continued hot. High 96.
