ELKHART, Ind. -- Ten African American heroes from Elkhart County were highlighted at the ribbon cutting of the House of Heros legacy room on Saturday.
The speakers included Kelby Love, Garvin Roberson, Jack Terry and Annie Phillips, Ben Barnes, Bill Phillips, Shon D. Pratcher, Leroy Robinson Jr.,Tony Johnson, Edith Pasely, and Eric Theodore Barnes.
The speakers were chosen by Robert Taylor because these were the people who had an influence in his life.
The House of Heroes legacy room will become open to the public in the beginning of March for free.
