Texas explosion victim speaks

TEMPLE, Texas -- One of the survivors of the Texas explosion spoke about her experience Tuesday.

Thirty-seven-year-old Misty Lambert was inside the West Apartment Complex right behind the plant that exploded Wednesday night.

Lambert survived 20 hours of surgery and has 1,000 stitches across her chest, arms, and face after watching the explosion out her apartment window.

"I walk into the bedroom and I looked out the window and said, 'Oh, my gosh, that place is on fire,'" said Lambert. "I went to look out the window and that's when the explosion happened and it just came at me."

Lambert's son and nephews were also with her at the time of the explosion. They are okay.

She is one of 11 patients still hospitalized after the explosion.

Fifteen people were killed in the blast.
