The annual Lory's Run, Walk, and Rock 5K happening in May

ST. JOSEPH, Mich. -- Lory's Place will be hosting their annual Run, Walk, and Rock event on May 21 in St. Joseph to fundraise for their non-profit organization.

Since the opening of Lory’s Place programs in 2004, the organization has supported over 48,000 children and adults after the death of a significant person, and offered 74 peer support groups in Berrien, Cass, and Van Buren counties.

Donations and participation in the event make it possible for Lory’s Place to continue offering programs and services to all who are grieving, regardless of their financial circumstances.

“Every year, Lory’s Place is honored and grateful for the community’s support of Run, Walk, and Rock. All of the programs and services at Lory’s Place are available at no charge. That means that no child or adult is ever turned away because of an inability to pay. Your donations and participation in this event help to make this possible,” said Stephanie Kohler-Pagan, director of Lory’s Place.

The event will begin at 8:30 a.m. on May 21. The 5K run/walk course will begin at Lory's Place and continue along St. Joseph’s Edgewater area, Ridgeway Street, and into Tiscornia Park.

Comfortable rocking chairs will be available for spectators throughout the morning along the edge of the course.
