Three car crash sends five people to the hospital

ST. JOSEPH TOWNSHIP, Mich. -- Five people ages 8 to 82 were taken to the hospital after a three car crash.

It happened just before 7:00 p.m. Saturday in Saint Joseph Township, Michigan.
 
A car with two adults and two children crossed into oncoming traffic hitting another car head-on with a 82-year-old driver.
 
An SUV then struck the second car after the initial crash. 
 
Everyone in the first car went to the hospital.
 
The 82-year-old suffered a ruptured aorta and was flown to a Kalamazoo Hospital.
 
The two people in the third vehicle sustained no injuries.
