Three people injured in two-vehicle crash in Cass County

CASS COUNTY, Mich. – Three people were injured in a two-vehicle crash in Cass County on Sunday, the Cass County Sheriff’s Office reported.

Shortly after 10:40 a.m., deputies responded to a crash at the intersection of Marcellus Highway and Decatur Road in Volinia Township.

According to the investigation, the driver of the first vehicle, a 36-year-old Marcellus man, was driving west on Marcellus Highway, approaching the intersection, when a second vehicle, driven by a 31-year-old from Flushing, New York, allegedly pulled out in front of him.

The driver of the first vehicle and two passengers in the second vehicle were taken to the hospital.

Seatbelts were worn and airbags were used in the crash.

At this time, it is not known if alcohol or drugs were a factor in the crash.

This incident is still under investigation.
