Three-vehicle crash caused by medical issues in Cass County

CASS COUNTY, Mich. -- Sherriff Clint Roach of the Cass County Sherriff's Office confirmed deputies responded to a three-vehicle crash on M-51 near Pennsylvania Street in Pokagon Township on Saturday at approximately 8:30 a.m.

A vehicle driven by a 64-year-old male from Niles, Michigan was heading southwest on M-51 when he had a medical issue, causing him to drive off the road and collide with two unoccupied parked vehicles. 

The driver was sent by SMCAS Ambulance to Corewell Niles Hospital and his condition is unknown. 

The Pokagon Township Fire Department and Pokagon Tribal Police assisted at the scene of the crash.
