Tick INsiders looking for high school volunteers to become citizen scientists

LAFAYETTE, Ind.—Tick INsiders is looking to train up to 50 high school students in tick identification, sample preparation, and field collection techniques.

The aim of the program is to improve public health by collecting ticks from across Indiana to better understand the risks of tick-borne diseases.

Student scientists will work in tandem with Purdue scientists, who will analyze the samples they receive.
