Trial for stabbing death to set new trial date

SOUTH BEND, Ind. -- A jury trial set for a man charged with voluntary manslaughter is being continued.
Brian McNeill is charged in the death of Matthew Mitchell.
Prosecutors say McNeill stabbed Mitchell during an altercation at a home in the 500 block of South Rush Street.
The stabbing happened back in March.
Mitchell's trial was set to begin on September 2nd.
The court will move forward with a status conference September 3rd where a new trial date could be set.
