COBB COUNTY, Ga. — A dramatic twist has occurred in a murder trial that sent a Georgia man to prison for life.
Waseem Daker was convicted for the 1995 murder of a woman and her 5-year-old son.
Now a key witness, the victim's former roommate, is taking back her original testimony.
Almost 20 years ago she told the court that the suspect stalked her and she feared for her life.
But now she says he never threatened to kill or harm her.
Waseem is demanding a new trial.
