Two arrested following traffic stop near North Michigan Street in Plymouth

MARSHALL COUNTY, Ind. - Two people were arrested on Monday following a traffic stop near North Michigan Street and Hoham Drive in Plymouth, according to the Marshall County Police Department.

At 1:15 a.m., deputies pulled over a black 2014 Mitsubishi SUV in the area.

An investigation began during the stop and K-9 officer Bear was called to the scene.

Bear alerted to the smell of narcotics and a search of the vehicle began.

The driver of the vehicle, identified as 30-year-old Ramon Santiago II, of Syracuse, was arrested on the charge of driving while suspended - prior.

A passenger, identified as 26-year-old Chad Heflin II of Elkhart, was arrested on the charges of possession of methamphetamine, possession of paraphernalia and false informing.
