ELKHART, Ind. -- A 2014 Mercedes Benz van was traveling east on C.R. 4, east of C.R. 13 and a 2013 BMX was traveling west on C.R. 4, east of C.R. 13 on March 17, at approximately 9:34 a.m.

The 2013 BMX slowed on C.R. 4, intending to turn left to go south on C.R. 13. 

The 2013 BMX was traveling at an accelerated speed on the snow-covered roadway and was not able to stop behind the 2014 Mercedes Benz.

The 2013 BMX went left of the center to avoid the 2014 Mercedes Benz but went head on with the vehicle. 

The driver of the 2014 Mercedes Benz was transported to the hospital for complaint od wrist and thumb pain. 

The passenger of the 2014 Mercedes Benz was also transported to the hospital for a fractured humerus. 

The driver of the 2013 BMX did not sustain any injuries.
