Undefeated Irish ready to battle the Hurricanes
NOTRE DAME, Ind. -- The undefeated Irish are ready to defend their record at this weekend's game against the Miami Hurricanes and Soldier Field in this year's Shamrock Series game.
The unranked Hurricanes are 4-1 with their only loss coming from number 21 Kansas State heading into the game on Saturday.
At his weekly press conference, head coach Brian Kelly talked about the game against Miami and the work the team has done so far.
"They're a tempo team, they like to go fast. They've caught their last couple of opponents not prepared for that," Kelly said. "There's no question whether we're playing Miami or our next opponent, we as on offense, have to score more points."
Coach Kelly also says the history and tradition of playing Miami is not lost on the Irish, but they are staying focused on the Hurricane's past games.
