MARSHALL COUNTY, Ind.—Traffic restrictions are set to begin on U.S. 30 on Monday as crews work to implement safety upgrades.

The center median will be closed on U.S. 30, allowing only right turns from U.S. 30 onto Plymouth-Goshen Trail. The closure will affect U.S. 30 from State Road 17 to U.S. 31.

Barricades, pavement markings and signage will be posted, according to INDOT.

INDOT is making safety changes in this area after reviewing crash history.

There are two problems at that intersection.
1. Truck drivers that don't pay attention, don't want to risk shifting a load, or just want to bomb the yellow
2. Car drivers that just assume all truck drivers will stop.

Our solution: Disregard the deficiencies in our drivers and make more barricades
