Utica Disaster Recovery Center will be opening to flood survivors

UTICA, Ind. – A Disaster Recovery Center opens Sunday May 13 to help Indiana flood survivors.

The Utica Disaster Recovery Center will be offering support to business owners and individuals.

Survivors may locate open DRC’s near them via this link or by calling the FEMA Helpline at 800-621-3362, (TTY) 800-462-7585. Helpline numbers are open from 7 a.m. to 10 p.m., seven days a week. You can also download the FEMA app.

Specialists from the Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA), State of Indiana and the the U.S Small Business Administration (SBA) will be offering assistance to those filling out their applications and updating their status.

Registration is the first step in the recovery process and survivors are encouraged to register before visiting a DRC.

FEMA grants do not have to be repaid, assistance is nontaxable and will not affect eligibility for Social Security, Medicaid or other federal benefits.
