Veterans to be honored at South Bend Cubs game

SOUTH BEND, Ind. -

Friday night’s South Bend Cubs game is a special game for the fans. They will get to see one of the biggest fireworks shows ever. The game will also be special because veterans will be honored in the third inning.

“The veterans are going to be honored in the 3rd inning here at Four Winds Field. We are going to ask all of them to stand so we can honor their service---stand by branch we will honor Navy, Army, Air Force, Marines, Coast Guard, National Guard--thank them all for their service. We will also provide them with a prize pack--a Sports Clip haircut with other goodies. We are going to pass out throughout the evening,” said Chris Hagstrom-Jones, Director of Creative Services and Promotions.

They will also raise money by auctioning off team jerseys.

“We have players wearing red white and blue uniforms. Those will be auctioned off and the money raised will go to the League of Warriors,” said Joe Hart, President of the South Bend Cubs.
