ST. JOSEPH COUNTY, Ind. – Election day is fast approaching, Monday, Oct. 5 is the last day for Indiana voters.
In the Hoosier state, U.S citizens who are 18 years-old, not currently in prison, and who have lived the area where you plan to vote for at least 30 days can register to vote in-person, online, or by mail.
Meanwhile, Michiganders have until Monday, Oct. 19 to register to vote online or by mail. You can register to vote in-person up to and including Election Date.
For Indiana residents planning on voting with an absentee ballot, you must request your ballot by Thursday, Oct. 22. In the state of Michigan that deadline is Friday Oct.30 by 5 p.m.
“It is extremely important, people want their voices heard, they need to be heard and the only way they’re going to have them heard is to get out there and vote," Kimberly Riskovitch, a voter registration board member said.
