Walk MS: Michiana sees big turnout

Hundreds of people came to IUSB's campus for Walk MS: Michiana on Saturday. ABC 57's Monica Ott served as the emcee for the event.

Indiana congresswoman Jackie Walorski made an appearance as well.

The organization hopes to raise $80,000 to help find a cure for multiple sclerosis as well as fund programs and services for more than 7,500 Indiana residents.

"It means so much because that means money has been raised and we need to find a cure," said Karen Brandy-Comer, who attended the walk and suffers from MS. "There have been so many advancements since I was diagnosed in '81...This is very, very, very good. I love it."

So far the walk has raised over $26,000.
