It's another warm and muggy day Tuesday, but the extreme heat will arrive Wednesday and Thursday.
Today is dry with mostly sunny skies. Temperatures are in the mid 60s out the door, and climb into the mid 80s by afternoon.
Overnight, a stray shower or storm can't be ruled out, but most will stay dry.
A heat advisory begins at noon (EST) Wednesday, and continues until 11 a.m. (EST) Thursday for several of our Michiana counties. Then an excessive heat watch is in place for the remainder of Thursday.
Wednesday's temperatures are in the low 90s, but heat indices could climb into the triple digits.
Thursday is hotter, with highs in the mid to upper 90s. Heat indices Thursday again climb into the triple digits.
A few stray showers or storms are possible Thursday night.
Friday we feel some relief - it is not as muggy, and highs are in the mid 80s. We continue to cool this weekend to highs in the mid 70s.
The extended forecast remains relatively rain-free.
