Goshen Mayor Jeremy Stutsman officially opened the Waterford Mills Parkway overpass on Wednesday.
Construction began this spring with a projected completion date of fall 2017.
"Once this section opens up, we're going to see residents of Goshen and the business community is going to see a real impact in our community as far as another cross section for the south end of town and it will help alleviate some of the stresses of road. We still have a lot of construction going on that road. It's going to be a great thing for the city and for the community," Stutsman said.
Contractors will return in the spring to finish some work like driveways, sidewalks and landscaping.
There are plans in the works to connect the overpass to CR 17.
