SOUTH BEND, Ind. -- Over 450 community members and leaders of St. Joseph County gathered at Islamic Society of Michiana for their We Make Indiana event focusing on mental health crisis services.
Community members were shown statistics from 2025 on how Oaklawn Crisis Services has impacted St. Joseph County members.
Statistics showed 4,574 Calls for 24/7 Hotline, 851 adult and youth mobile crisis responses, and 655 guests admitted for their crisis center.
Many community leaders and other members from the community spoke out about the importance of mental health and even spoke about personal stories of people they know who used these services and how it helped them.
