Weather event on Lake Michigan making rounds on YouTube

HARBOR SPRINGS, Mich. -- Wednesday night, a spectacular video of a weather event on Lake Michigan is making rounds on YouTube.

It’s video of a water spout caught off the coast of Harbor Springs.

It was shot during the first week of September.

A number of people captured the weather event that is a non-super cell tornado.

Usually the spouts are much weaker than the one captured in Michigan.

Most often, they are seen in the tropics.

The spouts have also been spotted in lake effect snow events.
