Week two of Notre Dame training wraps with wide receivers and linebackers hungry to prove themselves
SOUTH BEND, Ind. – Notre Dame football wrapped up its final day of week two in training camp, and both the wide receivers and linebackers made it clear they’re ready to make an impact this season. On offense, the wide receiver room is determined to change the narrative after quiet seasons in the past. Jordan Faison is fueled by last year’s national title loss, Malachi Fields brings size and physicality, and Will Pauling adds leadership and experience. Wide receivers coach Mike Brown says the group’s selfless attitude could make them one of the team’s biggest strengths. On defense, the linebackers are aiming to be the most physical and versatile unit in the country. Jaiden Ausberry, Drayk Bowen, Jaylen Sneed, and freshman Kyngstonn Viliamu-Asa are all stepping into key roles. Linebackers coach Max Bullough says the group is focused on toughness, communication, and consistency. Both groups say they’re competing every rep in practice, with one goal in mind: helping Notre Dame contend for another championship. Camp will resume Friday with ABC57 providing full coverage.
