Whirlpool in Benton Harbor celebrates 100 years of business

BENTON HARBOR, Mich. -- Whirlpool in Benton Harbor is celebrating 100 years of business!
On Friday, the company marked the date by showing employees around the new worldwide headquarters.
It's the first time employees have had a chance to tour the construction site in downtown Benton Harbor.
Whirlpool says the building is state-of-the-art and has few walls.
"This one allows people to communicate. It bring people together casually, something we haven't had in our Whirlpool facilities to this date," said Lee Utke.
The first 400 employees will start working in this branch on April 1, 2012.
