Wildfires continue to grow

Only 20 percent of the California wildfires are contained. According to the U.S. Forest Service, the fire has spread to more than 19,000 acres.

More than 1,000 homes are being evacuated Sunday night as the fires continue to burn in California.

Nearly 1,000 firefighters are fighting that blaze from both the air and ground.

"This is our canyon where we like to come have fun and fish, and it's going up in flames pretty quick," said an outdoorsman who frequents the area.

There are also fires in New Mexico, Colorado and Oregon.

The wind and heat are proving to be problems for firefighters trying to contain the fire. Dry trees are also making things difficult.
