Interview with Dr. Mark Fox of IU School of Medicine post CDC...
Lake effect rain showers remain in the forecast for today and the start of tomorrow, mainly falling across southern Michigan and some communities in northern Indiana closer to the state line like South Bend, Elkhart, and Goshen. Don't expect a washout, but do expect chilly and windy weather today with gusts up to 35 MPH possible. Highs will only peak near 50 degrees this afternoon and cool down to the lower 40s tonight. Tomorrow starts off nearly identical to today with lake-based showers, windy weather, and a chill in the air. The rain wraps up by the afternoon, allowing some sunshine to peak through and heat the area to around 50 degrees yet again. Starting tomorrow night for the next two nights, lows will be in the mid 30s.
Today: Scattered showers. High 50.
Tonight: Scattered showers. Low 42.
Thursday: Scattered showers. High 50.
Friday: Mostly sunny. High 54.
