The first annual Wine-A-Palooza is set to take place at Laketown Golf and Conference Center located at 6069 Blue Star Highway in Saugatuck, MI. Wine-A-Palooza is a three day wine tasting event that starts on June 15th and runs thru the 17th. This event is the brainchild of local entrepreneur Bob Johnson. Johnson has become well-known throughout the West Michigan community through his business West Michigan Caterer, which started nearly 30 years ago. Johnson views Wine-A-Palooza as an opportunity to unite all wine lovers in a casual and enjoyable atmosphere.
Schedule of Events:
This 3 day event will begin at Laketown Golf & Conference Center on Friday by offering a VIP wine tasting of sparklings and chocolate. After the tasting, guests will be entertained by renowned DJ Stoz. The wine tasting will take place from 6-8pm and DJ Stoz will play 8-11pm at The After Grape Party. Tickets for the entire day are $50 or you can purchase tickets just for The After Grape Party for $25. A cash bar and limited menu will be offered to all participants.
Saturday will feature 48 selections of wine from all over the world, along with the performance of many local musicians. The wine selections will be provided by Great Lakes Wine & Spirits. There will be three tasting sessions at 11am, 1pm, and 3pm. Participants will have the opportunity to purchase the various wines, as well as the exclusive label created especially for the Wine-A-Palooza event. Guests are encouraged to bring chairs or blankets and to enjoy the day, along with their wine, on the Laketown grounds while listening to the several local musicians in attendance. Tickets for the entire day can be purchased for $50 or guests can purchase $35 tickets if they just want to enjoy the grounds and the music. Tickets purchased at the door will be $60. A cash bar and limited menu will be offered to all participants.
The event will conclude with a brunch on Sunday provided by West Michigan Caterer and Laketown Golf & Conference Center. There will be two seatings at 11am and 1pm. Tickets can be purchased for $35. A cash bar will be available to participants.
