Woman arrested after allegedly cutting another woman with a knife

STURGIS, Mich. -- A Three Rivers woman was arrested after allegedly cutting another woman with a knife, according to Sturgis Police.

Police were called to the area of Congress and Pleasant streets Saturday around 4:30 p.m. to investigate reports of an assault.

When they arrived, they located a woman with a cut to her face, police said.

The suspect, a 27-year-old woman, was taken into custody on a preliminary charge of felonious assault.

The victim was treated and released at the scene.
