Woman facing attempted murder charges in shooting

VAN BUREN COUNTY, Mich. -- A woman is facing attempted murder charges after allegedly shooting a man in the stomach with a shotgun, according to the Van Buren County Sheriff's Office.
On Saturday around 7 p.m., deputies were called to the 62000 block of 66th Avenue in Hartford Township to investigate a shooting.
When deputies arrived they found a man on the porch with a gunshot wound to his abdomen and quickly administered first aid.
The suspect, a 36-year-old woman, was detained without incident.
The suspect is facing preliminary charges of attempted murder and assault with a deadly weapon.
The victim was transported to the hospital in critical condition.
The investigation is ongoing.
