YouTube video: Walk-through tour of Father Hesburgh's office

NOTRE DAME, Ind. -- Notre Dame Athletics has posted a unique tour on its YouTube channel.

It's Father Theodore Hesburgh walking people through his office on the 13th floor of the Hesburgh Library.

It's full of memorabilia he has collected over the years.

The items include: pieces collected during a summer in China, the Medal of Freedom he got from President Johnson, the Olympic torch he carried in 2002, and photos from when he flew in the once top secret SP-71 Blackbird.

"I did a favor for one of the presidents and he said, 'What can I do for you?' I said, 'I want to fly in the SR-71,' and he said 'We don't even let civilians see that plane, it's a secret plane.'"

Father Hesburgh served as Notre Dame president for 35 years.
