ABC57 live from New Orleans for the Final Four

NEW ORLEANS -- Notre Dame’s women’s basketball team has arrived in New Orleans for the NCAA Final Four. ABC57’s Emily Pritchard and Jillian Mahen are in New Orleans to show you all of the events leading up to Sunday’s game.

On Sunday, fans will be filing into the New Orleans arena where the Fighting Irish will take on UConn.

The arena is downtown, across the street from the Superdome, and holds 18,000 people.

Stages and tents are going up along Girod Street.

And there are beads everywhere, including some hanging from the power lines.

Friday night, the teams will be welcomed at Mardi Gras World.
