Attempted abduction in Benton Harbor

BENTON HARBOR, Mich. – A group of women told police that a car full of men had tried to abduct them early Monday morning.

Benton Harbor officials say a group of six women were walking on Ogden Avenue around 2:15 a.m. when a black Chevy Impala and a silver truck pulled up to the women.

The women said several males with handguns got out the vehicles and tried to force them into the cars.

According to officers with the Benton Harbor Department of Public Safety, the women ran away as the men chased them.

BHDPS is still investigating this incident and is asking the public for information.
