Avenues Recovery Center expands to meet need in St. Joseph County
MISHAWAKA, Ind. — After Praxis Landmark Recovery closed down nearby, Avenues Recovery Center began closing that gap of addiction treatment resources in St. Joseph County, one step at a time.
The facility has already been able to help hundreds overcome addiction over the last year through partnerships with the Sheriff’s Department, Oaklawn, and first responders.
Now, with this major expansion complete, adding 60 new inpatient beds and additional treatment spaces, the hope is to better serve the growing demand for care.
Complete with new bright spaces for brighter days ahead.
The staff offers a crucial hand on the first step along a new avenue toward recovery.
Avenues Clinical Director Ann Hasse said the need for recovery care in St. Joseph County is strong.
“In the community are the people that see the struggles every day. They’re on the front lines every day, and so they see how substance abuse and mental health issues are just really causing struggles for people. So, by partnering and collaborating with them, we can all help and create a better Michiana,” said Hasse the Clinical Director.
Everyone involved is eager to see the lives that walk through the door take a turn down a new avenue.
